I want to draw your attention to this post that why I wrote the title like that. A bit eccentric and opportunist taking the current scenario but I do believe it had drawn your attention.  This bring me to the second part or rather the actual benefit of the blog post – what’s make a good post title.

This topic had been written many times and many had express their view from Problogger to other blog.  Some not just once but also more than once (e.g Problogger).  If I could summaries the techniques it will be the following:

Attention

  • Your get attention with a mixtures of strong graphic and sometimes a very short title. Sometimes long title do the good job.  Today in the advent of , with a good or intro like this one.
  • Another good way to get a viewer’s attention is with questions. One classic method that will never get old is to introduce a problem that your blog post solves.

Interest

  • Answer a question in your blog post title.
  • Play with word that link to motion, emotion, or surprise.  A good example like this blog post title.

Decision

  • Start you title with a decision. e.g.  “”Affiliate Ticker Management 10 things on why you should not buy it today?”

Action

  • Start your title with a call to action.  Previously it sound more sutler and gentle.  But this tactics directly request the blog reader to act. You need to spell it out very clearly for your blog reader so they know exactly what they need to do. Moreover, you need to make it very simple for them! It should be one simple action for them to perform. For example, “Blog Ninja price drop only 24 hours for 50 copies.”

Using this techniques you should not be lost of reader anymore.

well its a tragic and dark day for the fans of Sir Micheal Jackson.i believe that he is the legend and will be the legend of pop music, no body will take his place.
He is truly king of pop and king of hearts

I remember MJ as a black boy before he became a rich white woman. I think he should be called queen of pop instead of king of pop.

The title sure will catch some attention! Sounds like some conspiracy of some sort if you ask me. On the otherhand, it might not bode well for a post or article if that’s the title and it contains an entirely different story… but no doubt, it will get some people to start reading! :)

You got my attention. There are some nasty rumours out there about Michael Jackson being badly in debt. Then there is the issue about his kids. No one really cared what was happening to him until he was gone. Not really a big fan but he was a good entertainer and had a few hits in his career that made him acquire the title of ‘King of Pop’.

MJ become famous in the world because of it’s signature dance and songs. I love his songs, very touching and has a message to all. Sadly he gone in this world but no one can replace MJ as the King of Pop. =)

I’m not actually a fanatic, but I am very much aware how famous Michael Jackson is… and he is a great lost.
By the way, you really caught me by your title.
