Yesterday, we had come into term with social media and how to use social media as a medium that can help us to build or blog. As part of our series on problem facing by growing blog, now we look into the question when does SEO actually start? My answer, since the very first time you choose a domain name.
A good domain name can worth thousand even million in monetary term. It could also cause thousand even million in monetary term in dispute and legal cost when your decision was not properly plan and well thought off. We have to admit the choice of domain names end with dot.com is almost no longer possible, what more important is how your build a domain name. Ironically people careless on what is your domain name end with as long as they serve their their needs.

If you had read my blog post on choosing a domain name, one factor I had stressed as important was the relationship between your domain name and your blog’s keyword. Long domain name had the advantage of SEO as compared to short domain name because you can add some of your keywords inside you domain name. The drawback was long domain name is not memorable. But can really you forget, iwillhavemyeyesonyou.com?

monk.com
We move to next issue in general SEO consideration. Now that you have a SEO friendly domain name that show more frequently on the search engine, I don’t expect a blog about fashion show-up as a boutiques stores selling dress and shirt, while it’s still talk about fashion where is the information? I expect the same thing when I visit a Transformer site it should serves me about transformer.
It’s scary to find out monk.com actually not a monastery websites (although it use to be a monastery site not until the monastery lose their claim).
While the main issue talk about overall layout, initial acceptance and general consideration, other none trivial issue would be, should you put date stamp or note or other consideration that would portray the level of freshness on your contents.
Have I answer the question I had thrown to you earlier or I had made you more confuse? Either way feel free to throw your opinion or disagreement.

Yep…I agree…the words in the domain name as keywords, the age of the domain, the history of the website associated with the domain name, the number of visitors who actually type the domain name into the browser address bar, the behavior of the domain, and the stickiness all play a role in seo
