Pay Attention – Your Next Big Market Is Generation Z – The Digital Learner

I found this from a SU mail send by my friend, jinxlake.  There are many interesting fact in this video,  of which describe what is -  The Learner.

In this video some of the interesting fact about our Generation Z:

  • Our children and teen spend 2.5 hours a week using home computer
  • In any given day 68% of children under two will use screen media, for an average of two hours (2:05)
  • Today teen were born into a digital world where they expect to be able to create, consume, remix and share material with each others
  • Our digital learner have sent and received over 200,000 e-mails and instant messaging
  • Ask any average student or teen how they feel if they lose their , they answer most probably, ” When you lose you mobile, you lose part of your
  • For this generation, + = Anytime learning.

So those are the characteristic of Generation Z.  There are more facts presented in the video, some of them were mind blowing.  It is suffice to say, we need to start thinking how to present our content and message to this generation.

That is absolutely correct, learning in today’s generation is far way different from the what we have a half-decade ago. I’ve a dissertation about Digital learning being compared to the traditional lecture/book method and the result is very clear the the kids today learn more and can learn effectively using computers and other digital gadgets.
