How would your organisation or your small business survive in the world of Web 2.0?
You will need more than normal managerial skills and yes for those with tech skills, it is just an added advantage. Not a premium quality that will make your organization or small business survive in the world of Web 2.0.
You going to need a new job descriptions and of course with a new set of skills or combination of skills. I would like to introduce you to Marketing Technopologist.
Marketing Technopologist combines the strength of marketing, technologies and social interaction. Their job description will be:
- in charge of social media marketing
- communication thorough blogging and blogging communication management
- handling social networking management both at wide platform (online and private network) and internal level.
- knowledge management accumulated through this experience
- virtual community management, most likely the online community outside your organisation or your business.
- virtual online community like secondlife. Companies or maybe you should look into the possibilities to test new products or concept at the virtual communities first before testing it in the real world.
- online 24×7, virtual office and representative. Representative in this case not a bot, but actual person. This actual person report to Marketing Technopologist. In current term, we love to identified this as PR relationship management.
Well, while this term seem to be applicable to an organization, you need to have this skills also in order to survive the Web 2.0. However, what I mentioned here is not conducive you may have some additional job descriptions for this new guy.
