Bond, James Bond. I think I am going to miss that phrase along with Q, Moneypenny and “Shake it, Not Stirred It”. When the producer decided to redefined the bond character, then that mark the beginning of the new Bond. Even the story lines also different, it’s not like the usual Bond. I not going to talk about Bond, but the redefine of bond have similarity to the redefine of blog. How does the redefine of Bond character have something to do with blog redefine? Well read on.
As I said earlier, the producer had redefine the Bond character and restarted the franchise by putting Daniel Craig as the Bond, and painting Bond as more rough and close to Jason Bourne, it may be work or it maybe not.
In blogsphere, there are time you also need to redefine your blog. You need to redefine your blog when one of this happen:
1. Your blog is messed up.
When you have about 30 post it will be easy to find your blog content but when it’s already reach to more than 100 post, it will be harder to find a single post. If you post more than 2 times a day that make it even harder to find your good content. Therefore you need to redefine you blog so your reader can find solace at your blog amidst all the messed up.
2. Your brands need to redefine
Your blog purpose may cease to exist or the blog need a new direction since it’s no longer the market niche. Furthermore, your initial goal may had been reached therefore you also need a new direction. If this happen just make sure your make a proper plan so you yourself can find solace in reaching toward your goal.
3. You need to synchronize with what your preach (walk the talk thing)
You had ignored you own advice. If your talk about CSS or web design, then you need to have a very decent and nice design at your website. This is what we call, walk the talk. For this one, both your blog and you will find solace in each others.
4. It make business sense
If your find that your current blog does not bring enough money then it time to redefine your blog. There nothing shameful of making money from your blog. Just make sure you don’t ignore your readers by not providing a good contents.
5. You feel you want to do it.
It your blog therefore you decide what you want to do with the blog. If you thing you you to redefine your blog than redefine it. Like #4, just don’t carried away until your ignore your contents and readers.
Like the redefine of Bond of character, where some disagree and agree, listen both to both end. But don’t quickly revert back to your old blog so quickly. Think about the time and money spent on redefining your blog. Stay open to suggestion and of course critism.
This post still lack of your contribution, perhaps you find it useful or you can promote it in your own way and give a Thumb-up or some Digg.

Nice post……..Stumbled…
Apart from the fact that I wasnt too happy after watching QOS, the reasons for redefining one’s blog mentioned by you are quite good and exactly match with the strategy QOS have taken up.
But what if the strategy fails, just like I feel QOS is failing ???

I have redefined my blog several times since it first launched. I new to blogging and after several weeks, I found my first idea of blogging should have change. And it works!
My reason is more to your number 1-3 point. I want to do that for number 4, but I have a feeling that changing so much also ruined and make your loyal visitor confused.
So I just patient and see if my new blog is attracting more visitor.

@Hamid: If the redefining is fail, then back to the old one will be the simple and immediate solution. But if all thing a fail then it’s time to rethink every aspect of our blog. Now it’s more on re-discovering.

Heya Hamdani! Here’s one quick history brief on my own blog site that everyone is seeing now. It used to be a crappy looking blog that posts totally random news with almost no focus. No doubt, I took it down and stop blogging for a few months before launching it again with a whole new and refreshing (award winning?) look.
Redefined the blog to a value-adding, power-packed, and pure awesomeness with a light hearted and personal tone, which helps gets the thousands of hits daily from the very first 3 days itself.
Nice way of talking about Bond Redefinition and how it too relates to having a Blog Redefinition. Thumbs up for ya!
