You can forget about weather social media marketing will be the very important tool in your marketing arsenal. This is because social media marketing is already play a big role and will continue to play this role in the future. If you already using social media to gain invaluable connections with your audience and to increase your online visibility, you should already reaping the benefits of your marketing efforts.
By now also, you already get all the (if not all), authority, inbound links, visibility, and trust from these form of marketing. For those who are ready to jump aboard the social media train or just intended to do just that, today I present 10 steps to creating a successful social media marketing strategy.
If you going blind and just submit your content to any social media social media site will not guaranteed an immediate success. You should find social media sites that fit your niche. For example, if you’re trying to promote your social media optimization or web hosting services , you should find sites where these two industries related articles tend to be popular and well read by their audience.
Social media is about two way communication. It’s a biggest mistake in social media marketing if your ignore completely the community. The community make-up the social media . You should take this platform by interacting with the community. The closer you become with community members, the more likely it is that they’ll help promote your content.
You should not ignore this if you intended for your content to go hot and viral. You should tailored your content toward your audience on the selected social media site. Only by doing this, you will know whether they likes or dislikes your content. But you should not stop there you need to take note this ques from them also. You may as me why should you take note? You should start to see some kind of patterns develop in the types of themes, content and their behavior which will decide what consistently go hot.
The vast majority of your content should be relevance to your marketing agenda. Just go to the front page of Digg or any other social site. All the top news that make to the front page is related to late-breaking news. So what should you do? You should be the first one to break a story in your industry; or, give your unique insight on a hot news item.
This I had to admit that some time I like to write long passages of text (for example this one). Your reader first scan your online content than only taking the time to read it. Brief paragraphs and bold, descriptive headings are great ways to make your content more scanner-friendly.
One thing about social media marketing content reader is they not just scan your content before they read, they also drawn to read your content if they find your sites captivating and beautiful. So when users come to your page to read your content, are they greeted with a clean, welcoming design? If not, they might just turn around and leave your site.
Avoid constantly trying to sell your products. While your ultimate goal of marketing is to promote your products and eventually your brand, you’ll never gain any respect on social media networks if you’re constantly trying to sell out your products. While mixed reaction exist toward this last statement, the rule of engagement is simple, and very much similar to offline practice. Beside, will there be any communication exist if the other person keep-on bragging about them self. Instead, contribute useful content that the community can learn from.
Thousand of user will be submitting content everyday to these networks. If your content doesn’t have a great title, you should forget about getting any attention on these sites.
Refer back to #2 and #7. If you want to become a top user on a certain social media site, you have to help others out. Find useful articles from different sources that your audience will enjoy, the community will begin to see you as a great resource for relevant information.
If you find you’re fortunate enough to have a post rise to the top, you need to make that attention last. You should create another great post as a follow-up to the hot one. So when your visitors come to your site to read the popular post, they’ll see you have new content.
In social media marketing there are no shortcuts to success. You need to put in the time and effort for your brand to experience numerous benefits. You also need to set realistic goals for your marketing campaign, and stick with it to the end.
Please promote this article in your way; you could also give me a Thumbs up! on stumble upon if you liked this article and want others to read it too.

All very relevant points for someone who is serious about this type of marketing. It’s more than just adding contacts and ‘friends’. Once you’re known as someone who is in it ‘for the community’ then others will talk about you (in unsolicited reviews, referrals to their friends, visits to your source site, etc.) It’s also a lot of work — takes focus and a definite plan with daily or weekly goals!

Doing research and interacting with community is definitely key. Research the social network, and see if it has groups that fit with your niche – then you have the perfect audience. And the more you interact, the more popular you become, which increases your audience. Great tips!

Great article my friend.
I believe you need to find a network that has similar interests to you and work with it. Make relationships and give as you receive. Share good content and expect that your messages will only be shared if they are valuable.
My most suited network is StumbleUpon, which has an eclectic mix of users who a spread across a broad variety of categories. Content is targeted by subject and I would say that even though SU users are fickle and quick to hit the stumble, a good percentage of users stick around to see what else is offered.
Thanks for your tips.
