Well my Christmas list came early this year and I had some of my own wish list for Christmas (although I am just celebrating the holiday). We all tired of hearing Twitter CEO Evan Williams give the same old song and dance about his company’s revenue strategy. It’s not like it is an inherently unmonetizable service.
Here are some my wish list that the service could do to help me to generate a few bucks:
Like on Magpie. Imagine if every 10th, 20th, or 100th tweet was an advertisement. Would that be so horrible? No, not at all. “your free Twitter account is brought to you by Apple’s iPhone” would be perfectly acceptable to users and advertisers on the web. There could also be display/visual ads that really “pop” off the page since Twitter pages are text based. I let Twitter sell this advertising space and we both share the revenue, what say you?
Take a cut of the revenues. Proposed by Narendra Rocherolle on TechCrunch. So who ever have the biggest follower, will make big money.
Allow me to grow my follower and sell my account, perhaps at E-bay.
Well, I can think of three wish list. How about your wish list?
