Link Baiting

Linking baiting is when you write or post something that has the potential to be blogged about, linked or bookmarked a lot. For a successful link baiting the content need to be extremely well written.  You could make your good post or articles become more prominent and at the top notch by producing videos or articles specifically for link baiting.  You could read more about link baiting at Problogger.

Contests

Everybody love entering contest, especially if there is a desirable prize and their prizes range in types. Some sites will offer you exposure and links and other sites will offer or actual physical prizes. In order to run a very successful contest, you need to get a lots of people to enter.

You can achieve this by advertising it at forums, classifieds and other site as mentioned in Part 1 and Part 2. On the other side, don’t be afraid to enter contests for a chance to win some or prizes for yourself!

This is arguably one of the most important ways to rank well for keywords and bring traffic to your website. It is also important that the exchange links or one-way links came from relevant sites. You can use effectively by using an important keyword for your links and not just a word like ‘click here’ or something you don’t want to rank well for in .

Do a manual search for websites and blogs that related to your site and contact them for a . Don’t focus so much to get from A sites only but also from B and C sites since the last two will more willingly to offer in return for a link at your sites.

Email Marketing

Avoid being a spammer or buy lists of emails. The only way to work email marketing is to have an opt-in email form on your website where users can sign up to receive emails and special offers in the form of free e-book or tips.   Sometime sending to much newsletter also not good.  Tell you subscribers upfront how much newsletter or email they should expect to receive.  This will ensure they don’t feel intimidated by the number of email and also make their hook to your thus make them comeback to your site more often to see other promotion.

This is the hottest new way to market a website, but it is not easy! You have probably heard about all these YouTube videos getting millions of views, and articles on Digg getting thousands of hits. If you can think up a really clever, funny or useful idea and tie it into your website via a link or some other way, you can drive incredible amounts of traffic to your site with very little or possibly none at all.

Videos

Since the creation of YouTube and other video-based sites creating videos has become very popular. Video make a good tools as a viral marketing and is a good way to get people interested in your or website.

When you use video, a most common practice is to show or say the URL of your website at the beginning and/or end of a video, or tie it into your video profile.

Podcasting basically creating audio files and then letting your users download or stream them via a link on your website or or via RSS feeds. If you’re not good at creating video than this is a good alternative. Some sites I have seen, were very successfully in offering audio downloads as compared to video method as a way of bringing users a large amount of information quickly. You can even post on craigslist.com and hire voice over talent for your podcasts at affordable prices.

Viral eBooks

Viral eBooks have become very popular and they tend to spread well in downloading communities. If you don’t have time to write your own ebook you could get a ghost writer to write for you or you can buy an e-book with master or private resale right.

Networking via Instant Mesengger

Networking can have many benefits to promoting your site. While I am not always adding people on my instant messaging services, I knew a few of my friend that actively doing that.  You can learn much from each other and help each other by networking and making friends in the business which will benefit your site.
