I had put up two online blog valuation tool for the purpose of entertainment and fun. These two tools fail to take many consideration of which you’ll need to read further if you want to know more.
Some consideration in blog valuation
These are some consideration on blog valuation that your should look into when you want to sell your blog:
- Earning. More appropriate and important factor. Your blog already earn something to be perceived as high in value. This is arbitrary because some say you need to have at least 6 - 8 month of income stream to the highest of 2 years income stream to be perceived as high value.
- Blog age. An old blog or domain name have been perceived high in value due to bigger readership. This is particular useful when you try to sell affiliate product.
- Domain name value. The more meaningful and easily remembered the name the higher the value of the domain name. loan.com for example had been sold for $3 million.
- Traffic. If you don’t have a domain of that high a value - traffic levels are obviously another method of determining the value of a site. Highly trafficked blogs obviously have a higher potential for earning than those with no readership.
- Number of backlink. The higher the number of back link the higher the potential traffic which will refer back to #4.
Two online tool for estimating your blog value
CyberWyre.
Cyberwyre use look into three factors, that is Alexa Ranking, Page Rank and numbers of backlink. Based on this, the webscript will calculate the value of your websites. The webscript also estimate potential text link advertising, possible affiliate income and independent advertising.
Dane Carlson’s Online Valuation Tool
Dane Carlson’s had created an online valuation tool based on Tristan Louis’s Research that take into consideration the Technorati API. The script will show the value of your blog and presented a web badge that shown your blog value.
