I stumble into this post about 26 sites that pay us to blog while researching for my this post.  After reading that blog, I went over to GetAFreelance website and browse some of the blog job available.  I noticed some of the rate is very low, about $1.00 per post.

Today let look at how much should paid a .

What value did he/she bring to your blog?

Let talk .  Everything boiled down to I get back from his/her job.  This is what they call return on investment.

The real value of is not just about but also creating and online community. These can’t be measured by real .  Many of my client does not see the real values of blog until they see repeat visitor and their online community build.  That can take at least 2-3 months.

That why only after my client already see the initial benefit than we talk about new rates and fees.

How strong is the brand?

If you ask Darren Rowse, from Problogger or someone from Copyblogger to do a blog post, the amount you have to paid would very higher.  Plus you also hope that their brand which already known for their recognition, will bring some credibility’s and attract some of their followers to your websites.

Social media, the additional ingredient

This is the new ingredient.  If the can write some post that can put your blog in the front of digg in one week, received 50,000 to 60,000 visitors and get 250 linkback that will be very much valuable to promote a young blog.

Technical vs non-technical

This will be anotehr major factor in determining the rate.  It’s faily fair to pay more for technical blog since technical blog will require extensive research, time and effort.

The Market Place

You’ll find that in most cases in the market place, the rate would be $15 per post while for technical post can be $80 per post.

One caveat:  This is just base on two website that I had found out openly tell how much they will charge their client.  Darren Barefoot charge $15-$20 per post and also heat discussion at one of a freelances website about rate per post.

What do you think fair amount?

I leave you to discuss what is the best amount to pay a for job per post and what consideration should be taken into deciding this rate.

It would appear that you need an editor to go over the grammatical mistakes in this article. The errors in this article make it almost unreadable and certainly do not give me the impression that you are a serious website.
