I was born in 1970, 1 year after their last roof top concert and 5 years later they broke-up. I am a Beatles fan and I don’t care if people don’t like it. And recently bought their last record, Love.
Later, I went over to YouTube to watch Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr interview with Larry King and read the full interview transcript. Do a little bit search on Google and found this good post about blogging tips and how they relate to The Beatles. What if all these combine into marketing strategy for a blogging business.
The Beatles make music for themselves first. If they like it and it’s sound fantastic surely other would like it also like themselves.
If you think your blog not good, then don’t expect the opposite from your readers.
When ask by Larry King “how did The Beatles get so big”, Paul reply “We always wanted to get better.”
In blogsphere, this would translate into higher reader, higher page view and higher income. But there is one target that every blogger should strive, to become authorative figure in that area. Like The Beatles does. But to do so you need to constanly improve yourself and these are the ingredient of success.
The Beatles produce something for themselves and their fans. In and outside the circle is not important. It’s crucial to take care your existing reader first before looking for new ones.
Beside not all reader to your blog from social media will be so valuable and not all will behave as expected.
The Beatles produce only 12 albums and 120 songs in the span of 10 years. All of those albums sold million of copies and many of the songs had been used in many medium.
Just because you don;t post for 3 days, you just produce a post and push the attitude “get set and go”. Your post need to maintain the qualities and the brand your promoted. I need to improve on this also.
If you look at The Beatles, their music for the past 10 years, you could see a different approach at different era. One profound differentiation was when they merged both east and west music in their music through Ravi Shankar.
It’s human nature to play it safe that include me. Always try a new marketing tactics and gauge their performance.
The Beatles innovated tirelessly. The kind of sounds that appeared on Beatles albums were completely new every times.
What can a bloggers do to break new ground in the cluttered world of online publishing?
The term linkbait had been associated on this premise. Newness is incredibly attractive and it is rewarded with links, and profits. You can learn much about linkbait here.
The Beatles want to change the world.
What your blog marketing goal? What that you’re trying to achieve? You’ll only achieve what you set for your blog. So make it worth every hours.
Since I started working at Lincoln in 2008, I realized that I cannot get internal promotions without having some IT credentials. I believe that Cisco CCNA INTRO 640-821 and Cisco 642-383 CXFF will help me achieve my goal. I am also planning to obtain some other advance level exams like HP2-T11 exam, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 exam 70-237 and Oracle database 10g 1z0-040 exams.

When you said: “To hell with search engine and social media marketing”, it’s rather refreshing. Everybody seems to be pushing SEO these days. But when you read posts that are more for the search engines than for humans, it completely turns you off. I will definitely not buy anything or return to the blog. You may get less traffic without SEO, but at least more people will come back for a second visit and that will eventually translate into more profits.

I personally think SEO is thing of the past. I prefer social media optimization but not social media marketing. Social media marketing, at least for me is more generalist and more confusing than SEO albeit sometimes close to spam marketing. In SMO, you choose the right market group, approach them with courtesy, like you said it may be small market but if it’s a return visitor than is much better than one off visitor.
