To mark 10 years of Google birthday today, faced with concerns over Microsoft using it’s browser market share to marginalize the search engine, have decided to take the fight directly to them. Google Chrome is an open sourced browser based on the Webkit HTML engine, but adds a new Javascript engine, and some UI changes.

Upon hours after the release, Google Chrome already suffered bad review and discovery of a security flaw that once exist in Safari as a result of old webkit development platform.  Some serious security flaw can take your PC down.  At this point, no security patch had been released only a minor tweak to prevent vulnerability from the flawed.

Today, in celebration of Google 10 Years Birthday, I would like to pose an opinion poll.  Will you use Google Chrome as you browser, for better or worse, despite the security flawed? The poll is a simple “Yes” and “No” and don’t forget to leave your opinion why choose either answer.

Would You Use Google Chrome?

The concept of centralizing an OS in browser form, along with the notion of not having to “own” software, but deploy it upon request through an internet browser is a unique and interesting idea. The great advantage would be to the computer user, the disadvantage to non open source developers. Whatever happens as this gains popularity will undoubtedly be an enormous shift in both the internet and the computing world.
