Pink Cake Box is a specialty cake shop in northern New Jersey with 10 employees.  They opened for business in 2005, built their own web site, and started a blog all in that same year.  They owe much of their small business success and growth to solid online marketing.  Early in March 2008, in an interview with by Search Engine Land, they have shared some of their online strategy success.
It is interesting to note a few key point from their online marketing success:
- How to use open sources software like wordpress, drupal and joomla effectively while at the same time invite active participant from your employees to use and contribute the necessary content.
- Why the company choose wordpress as their CMS application and how the company had used it effectively in their marketing campaign.
- Having about 120,000 unique visitors a month is not enough. What important is how to turn this visitors into a customer (remember the 1-9-90 rule).
- How to use Flickr and Youtube effectively as an important marketing medium.
- The most important aspect is how the company measured their success
