I have played with for almost a week now.  I learn a lot from reading about how to use StumbleUpon to promote a business.  Then I think what if the similar strategy used for Squidoo.

First, I take one lens as a case study, my lense on Pirates Of The Caribbean – Alternate Universe, The Chronicles Of Jack Sparrow. Up till now the lenses at rock bottom and nobody visit the lenses yet.

Every lenses that had been written at squidoo had a at the right column. Currently they have , , digg, ,delicious and . So it is.

The URL and the title is inherited by default, not like before you can personalize your initial submission with your own title. Put some brief description of the page.  Don’t forget to put some appropriate tag that would benefit your visitor.  Once the site in the system, people begin stumbling and your will see your traffic start coming.

How you can leverage your presence at ?

  • Personalize your page. Put your picture, tell people about you, what you like, what your watch.  But don’t be totally naked, telling so much about you. Just enough for people to get a sense of who you are.
  • Find people that had similar interest and add them as friend. There is no more communities, you only see people whom shared a similar interest to you. Get them as you friend.
  • Stumble often. I am putting a target of stumbling at least 15 interesting page on , movie and , my favorite character. Just submitting one will not bode well to your reputation. A keen user will notice if your really serious or just to get cheap traffic. The more people like the pages your submitted the more likely your also be rated high in the community.
  • Tag your pages properly.  Be relevant when you tag your pages.

Of course I had to wait another 24 hours to see the result because squidoo update their stat every 24 hours.
